Plan 11 (Flush from Discharge)
Why do we use it?
- When the seal heat requires a continuous flush flow to cool the seal
- When the process fluid is free from abrasives
- When the process fluid is far enough away from the vapour pressure limit and seal temperature limits for good seal operation
Advantages:
No product contamination and piping is simple.
General:
If the seal is set up with a distributed or extended flush, the effectiveness of the system will be improved.
