John Crane Presenting and Exhibiting at the 2019 Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia

CHICAGO (August 28, 2019) — John Crane, a global leader in rotating equipment solutions, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries, today announced plans to present and exhibit at the Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia in Houston, Texas.

John Crane will exhibit at two booths―2227 and 1523. Booth 2227 will give conferencegoers the chance to learn more about the company’s range of mechanical seals and systems, power transmission couplings, and filtration and service options.

Booth 1523 will showcase the company’s Dynamic Lift Up-stream Pumping and Diamond seal face technology solutions designed to increase rotating equipment reliability and overcome dry-running conditions.

In addition, three John Crane experts will present and facilitate discussions about relevant industry topics at this year’s conference: 

  • Claire Weatheritt, Asset Management Services Manager, will deliver a tutorial on “Transforming Condition Monitoring Into Effective Condition-based Maintenance,” as well as present a case study on “The Use of Motion Amplification to Measure and Visualize Relative Motion Between Components.” The tutorial will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at 2 p.m., and the case study presentation will be held on Thursday, September 12 at 8:30 a.m. More information can be found here.
  • Brian Kalfrin, Senior Regional Engineering Manager, will help facilitate a short course on mechanical seal fundamentals, scheduled for Monday, September 9 at 8:30 a.m. In addition, Brian will also participate in a group discussion aimed at addressing and discussing real-world problems and challenges faced by end users/seal OEMS, as well as present a tutorial on “Midstream Pipeline Applications – Design Aspects and Considerations for Mechanical Seals.” The group discussion will take place on Tuesday, September 10 at 10:30 a.m., and the tutorial will take place on Wednesday, September 11 at 8:30 a.m. More information can be found here.
