SEPARATION SEALS FOR COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCE
Separation seals
Overview
Based on more than 30 years of compressor sealing solutions, our separation mechanical seals are comprised of contacting bushings, non-contacting bushings and labyrinths. We also have coaxial separation seals.
Each separation seal meets the latest industrial standard API 692 and protects the dry gas seal from oil ingress, maintains sealing integrity in the event of a dry gas seal failure, reduces maintenance costs and improves reliability.

Separation seal (non-contacting technology)
The Type 93FR is a non-contacting carbon bushing designed to protect dry gas seals from bearing oil ingress.
Type 93LR
Segmented lift-off carbon bushing (non-contacting) separation seal
The Type 93LR is a non-contacting segmented bushing seal with a balanced lift-off carbon design....
Type 83
Separation seal (contacting technology)
The Type 83 is a dual-segmented carbon bushing assembly designed to prevent the migration of bearing oil to the dry gas seal cartridge....
IN MORE DETAIL
How does a separation seal work?
A separation seal works by creating a barrier between lubrication oil and the dry gas seal.
By preventing contamination, minimising wear and maintaining interface integrity in demanding environments, a separation seal ensures consistent performance and protects the dry gas seal from premature failure.
