John Crane Opens Manufacturing and Customer Service Center in Norcross, Georgia

Morton Grove, Ill. (Dec. 17, 2012) — John Crane announced today the relocation and opening of a new and expanded manufacturing and service center for customers throughout the United States, and primarily concentrated in the southeast region. The site increases the company’s manufacturing capacity and follows lean manufacturing concepts to support continuous product and process improvements. It allows John Crane to speed up product manufacture and delivery, respond more quickly to customers’ service needs and offer technical, hands-on training for customers and distributors.

“Our customers work in mission-critical environments and we need to help them ensure constant uptime for their operations,” said Duncan Gillis, President and CEO, John Crane Group Corporation. “This investment in an expanded and modern facility supports our commitment to highly responsive service and quick turnaround on product shipments. It also allows local customers to have the specialized training they need, with very little time away from their operations.”

Customers will have access to hands-on training across the company’s product portfolio. They will additionally benefit from a new repair center with new services, including mixer canister repair and Safematic ® seal repair and distribution.
