Plan 76 (Gas Leakage Collection Panel)

Buffer/Barrier
Plan 76 is a system to divert non-condensing primary seal leakage to a flare or vapour recovery system.
Plan 76

Why do we use it?

  • When an arrangement 2 plan is required
  • When the process fluid entirely vaporises after leaking across the inboard seal
  • When a vent/flare system is available

Advantages:

Lower initial and maintenance costs than dual unpressurized seals using a Plan 52.

General:

Plan 76 can be used in conjunction with a gas purge from Plan 72.
