Alex Clothier

Vice President, Business Transformation

Alex Clothier is the Vice President, Business Transformation, responsible for the delivery of major initiatives across John Crane including changes to supply footprint, shared services, and digital transformation. He is also responsible for global process standardisation, Data & Analytics and the real estate portfolio.

Prior to joining John Crane in 2022, Alex spent three years with Smiths Group, where he was responsible for group-wide IT transformation. Alex previously spent 20 years working for multinational pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies such as Diageo, Reckitt Benckiser and GlaxoSmithKline, where he held senior roles in shared services and IT leadership across Europe, Asia and Africa.

Alex received a Bachelor of Science in government from the London School of Economics(LSE) and a Master of Science in business from Aston University.
