December 26, 2019 | 2 minute read

We are very pleased to share that Prashanthi Tirunagari, Staff Engineer, New Product Development, was selected as one of the 2019 Top 10 Pump Professionals to Watch. In addition to this outstanding recognition, Prashanthi is featured on the cover of the Pumps & Systems December issue.

“Prashanthi is driven by goals and manages her projects to meet those goals while being very detail minded,” said John Crane Director, Design Engineering, Jim Wasser. “She is dedicated to her work and helping those around her, and we are very proud of her achievement."

Based in Morton Grove, Prashanthi started her career with John Crane in 2006. Since that time, she has held various roles in Applications, Design Engineering and R&D. Prashanthi received a Master of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering, and serves on the steering committee for John Crane’s Professional Women’s Network.

Watch the short video below to learn more about what this recognition means to Prashanthi, why she chose a career in the pump industry and what advice she would give to a student considering the pump/engineering field.

Recognized pumps professionals—all under 40 years of age—were chosen for the roles they serve in, the education they’ve completed, the boards and associations they belong to and the effort they put in as they seek to contribute to their companies and communities.
