John Crane Moves Headquarters to Downtown Chicago

Chicago, Ill. (May 13, 2013) — John Crane has moved its corporate headquarters to downtown Chicago, from Morton Grove, Ill., where the 26-acre North America manufacturing and service center will remain. John Crane was founded in the Chicagoland area in 1917 and has become a global leader in energy services with more than 230 offices in over 50 countries all over the world.

It is a diverse and vibrant city attractive to our employees and also our global customers visiting who will have access to our headquarters and nearby North America manufacturing and service center.”
The company, part of global technology business Smiths Group, employs more than 7,000 people and supplies critical components such as mechanical seals, couplings and bearings, used by energy services customers across oil & gas, power generation, and other major processing industries. John Crane’s 2012 revenues were more than $1.5 billion.
