John Crane’s Kristi Hartwell Wins Pumps & Systems Industry Veteran Award

CHICAGO (August 1, 2023) ― John Crane, a global leader in rotating equipment solutions, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries, is pleased to announce Kristi Hartwell, Continuous Improvement Engineer, recently won the Pumps & Systems Industry Veteran award.

Pumps & Systems, a leading editorial voice in the international pump and rotating equipment industry, recently recognized experienced professionals in the pumps and systems industry. This annual award pays tribute to and highlights the accomplishments of industry veterans and serves as an opportunity to share insights with the next generation of pump professionals.

"I feel incredibly honored to be acknowledged as an industry veteran, and it brings me great pride to share the wealth of experiences and advice I've gained throughout my career," said Kristi. "During my tenure at John Crane, I take immense satisfaction in having supported those around me and played a pivotal role in ensuring efficient operations."

Kristi has spent her entire career working at John Crane in various capacities. She joined the company in 1988 as an industrial engineer and has also worked in manufacturing engineering and programming. She now works in the continuous improvement department.

When asked about what career advice Kristi has, she said, “My career advice is to look for something new to learn every year. Engineering is a ridiculously flexible field with many ways to branch out, so keep your eyes open for new opportunities that grow from what you already know.”
