John Crane Expands Service Footprint in APAC with Addition of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, Service Center

CHICAGO (February 26, 2020) — John Crane, a global leader in rotating equipment solutions, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries, in partnership with Khanh Linh Equipment and Engineering JSC, today announced the opening of it wet seals service center in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

For nearly 12 years, Khanh Linh, John Crane’s local distributor, has represented the company within Vietnam, providing a range of products and multidisciplinary services to oil and gas customers within the region. This service center comes as part of John Crane’s commitment to continue investing in and developing its network of global service centers. The Ho Chi Minh facility, nestled near Vietnam’s oil and gas and fertilizer hub, equips John Crane with the resources to provide additional capabilities for its increasing customer needs, including aftermarket support, quick turnaround service and downtime cost reduction.

The service center increases John Crane's localization efforts in the country while bringing highly critical service and repair capabilities, as well as provides support for local companies within the oil and gas, petrochemical, fertilizer, and power generation markets. With the newly established service center John Crane is well poised to support the evolving market in Vietnam which is seeing large investments in the oil and gas and petrochemical markets.

Additional capabilities include:

  • Customer training: Increased facility size will allow customer product training, enabling customers to maintain their equipment performance and reliability according to the latest industry standards.
  • Repair and testing of wet seals: The service center bolsters John Crane’s capabilities to delivery highly critical services to repair and test wet seals locally within Vietnam and enables John Crane to provide end-to-end solutions to customers in Vietnam. The service center includes spare part stocking services in addition to the repair capabilities.
  • Local expertise: The facility will add local expertise to provide critical service capabilities that will help to reduce customer lead time, as well as reduce delivery and shipment costs.
  • Seal installation and commissioning report: A local service team along with the Regional Sales Manager will provide expert support for all customer needs. Service engineers will deliver 24/7 support, including the provision of plant surveys and reliability improvement support.
