CHICAGO (May 4, 2020) ― John Crane, a global leader in rotating equipment solutions, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries, today announced that John Crane Asset Management Solutions received accreditation from the Mobius Institute Board of Certification (MIBOC). This accreditation certifies John Crane Asset Management Solutions as an authorized training and examination center in accordance with ISO 18436 and ISO/IEC 17024.

MIBOC awards this accreditation to individuals who successfully demonstrate practical experience and knowledge to perform the duties of a vibration analyst. John Crane Asset Management Solutions personnel who have completed and passed the certification exams can now provide vibration analysis courses and certification for its employees and its customers’ reliability engineers.

Additionally, John Crane is accredited to deliver online training for Asset Reliability Practitioner (ARP) certification. The ARP certification recognizes knowledge and experience at three levels―Advocate who contributes to the initiative, the Reliability Engineer, and the Leader of the program. The certification separately recognizes reliability engineers and leaders who have proven competence to achieve higher recognition through experience-designated certification levels.

“The MIBOC accreditation is the highest recognized certification available to vibration analysts and is an excellent addition to our John Crane Asset Management Solutions service line,” said Graeme Morgan, Managing Director, John Crane Asset Management Solutions. “Through this accreditation, we have the opportunity to empower our customers to make more informed decisions through increased knowledge and understanding of vibration analysis. As a result, our customers’ day to day operation will be positively impacted by working in partnership with our experts who analyze and advise on immediate issues related to equipment health, and the wider predictive maintenance strategy to support reliable operations.”

Founded in 1999, Mobius Institute is a worldwide provider of reliability improvement, condition monitoring and precision maintenance education to industrial plant managers, reliability engineers and condition monitoring technicians.
