John Crane Expands European Footprint with Opening of Antwerp, Belgium, Facility

New facility to support business growth, enhance efficiency and reduce downtime cost

CHICAGO (November 6, 2019) ― John Crane, a global leader in rotating equipment solutions, supplying engineered technologies and services to process industries, announces the opening of its new facility in Antwerp, Belgium.

Located in close proximity to the Port of Antwerp—the leading European oil and chemical cluster, and the second largest port in Europe—the new service center will equip John Crane with the resources to provide additional capabilities for its increasing customer needs, including aftermarket support, quick turnaround service and downtime cost reduction.

The Antwerp facility enhances John Crane’s local service and support network for OEM and end user customers serving oil and gas, power generation, chemical, pharmaceutical production, and general industry markets.

This service center also allows us to support a long-term growth vision by investing in local infrastructure and continuing to develop our talent.”

Additional facility capabilities include:

  • Customer trainings: The new facility will equip customers with the skills and knowledge they need to maintain their equipment performance and reliability through John Crane’s team of experts.
  • Enhanced service offerings: Enhanced service offerings will now includeMechanical Seals Reliability and bad actor programs, bonded stock for customers’ critical equipment, and commissioning support for new equipment.
  • Fully equipped seal workshops: The workshops include seal reconditioning and repair with root cause analysis, assembly and testing facilities for mechanical seals, sealing systems, couplings and filtration systems. In addition, customers will be able to witness test their repaired products.
  • Seal installation, sales and commissioning report: Dedicated service and reliability engineers and area sales engineers will provide expert support for all customer needs. Service engineers will deliver 24/7 support, including the provision of plant surveys and reliability improvement support.
