Vanya Bromfield

Vanya Bromfield is General Counsel and Company Secretary, serving as principal legal advisor to the John Crane board and leading the legal function across the business.

Vanya joined Smiths Group in 2014 as General Counsel, Business Information Services, supporting the IT strategy and procurement for Smiths Group. Vanya later took on the additional role of Vice President, Global Legal Operations, responsible for supporting the Group General Counsel with the continuous improvement of the Smiths Group legal function.

Prior to joining Smiths Group, Vanya was a Senior Manager within the legal team at Autoglass and worked at law firms White & Case and Baker & McKenzie, focusing on intellectual property, IT and commercial law.

Vanya holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Law from the University of Oxford, a post-graduate diploma in intellectual property and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
