Alex Clothier

Alex Clothier is Division Vice President, Transformation, responsible for driving continuous improvement as a culture, leveraging Lean Six Sigma. As John Crane’s Master Black Belt, Alex works with his peers and wider teams to improve performance in customer service, delivery times, product quality and safety.

Prior to joining John Crane, Alex spent three years with Smiths Group, where he was responsible for group-wide IT transformation and data and analytics. Alex also spent 20 years working for multinational pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies such as Diageo, Reckitt Benckiser and GlaxoSmithKline, where he held senior roles in shared services and IT leadership across Europe, Asia and Africa.

Alex received a Bachelor of Science in government from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master of Science in business from Aston University.
