Course Objectives
Seminarinhalte:
- Grundlagen, Aufbau und Funktionsweise von gasgeschmierten Gleitringdichtungen und Lageröldichtungen.
- Umbau von Nass- auf Gasdichtungen.
- Versorgungssysteme nach API 692 und deren Instrumentierung.
- Booster zur Versorgung im druckbeaufschlagten Zustand.
- Längere Betriebszeiten durch den Einsatz von Sperrgas-, Prozessgas- und Schmierölfiltern.
- Booster zur Versorgung im druckbeaufschlagten Zustand.
- Anforderungen an Kupplungen gemäß API 671.
Dry Gas Seals | November 11-14, 2024 | Aberdeen, Scotland | Europe | Classroom
Dry Gas Seals: Basics
John Crane’s four-day, Dry Gas Seal instructor-led course introduces the principles of dry gas seals and seal support systems for Centrifugal Compressors, including dry gas seal installation, operation and maintenance. Key concepts, theory, and application are presented through an effective blend of classroom instruction, practical hands-on exercises, and group activities. The course includes appropriate assessments on theory and practical elements. This version delivers the Dry Gas Seal concepts in person, through classroom instruction and hands-on practice. A certificate is issued to delegates upon successful course completion. CEU credits available.
Course Objectives
Given completion of this course and access to supporting resources, learners will have the knowledge and skills to:
- Review of the fundamental principles of dry gas seals and support systems used in turbomachinery
- Demonstrate hands-on assembly of dry gas seals and installation
- Identify and recall the latest non-contacting sealing technology used in process applications
- Demonstrate safe working practices when working with dry gas seals and support systems
- Describe typical failure modes for a dry gas seal
