The Type 48VXP is a high-duty, multi-spring O-ring pusher seal designed for demanding light and flashing hydrocarbon applications. It can operate at pressures beyond the scope of API 682, particularly in applications where operating conditions are close to the sealed fluid’s vapour pressure.

John Crane LaserFace® technology helps to enhance mechanical seal face lubrication, while controlling leakage, helping reduce wear and improve reliability in low vapour pressure margin services. The balanced design supports high-pressure operation and is available in single or dual-unpressurised cartridge arrangements. Rotating seat and rotating head configurations help meet specific equipment requirements.
