Alex Clothier

Alex Clothier is the Division Vice President, Business Transformation, responsible for the Project Management Office (PMO) to enhance the maturity and standardization of project execution, specifically focusing on major transformation initiatives. His role includes advancing project management capabilities across John Crane.

Prior to joining John Crane, Alex spent three years with Smiths Group, where he was responsible for group-wide IT transformation and data and analytics. Alex also spent 20 years working for multinational pharmaceutical and consumer goods companies such as Diageo, Reckitt Benckiser and GlaxoSmithKline, where he held senior roles in shared services and IT leadership across Europe, Asia and Africa.

Alex received a Bachelor of Science in government from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Master of Science in business from Aston University.
